BEAM SPLITTER (Audrey Chen and Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø) is a duo for amplified voice & trombone + analogue electronics based in Berlin DE: breath based and on the verge of noise. The duo have toured extensively on five continents since 2015, and the last two years have included highlights like opening Issue Project Room’s 20th anniversary alongside Roscoe Mitchell and John McCowen; presenting at MIT’s spatial sound lab in Boston; traveling to Kiev Ukraine to support and perform in front of a sold out room in the National Museum of Natural History; playing full blast at Avant Art festival in Wroclaw; releasing their second duo album “Split Jaw” and our quartet with Streifenjunko “Beauties”; completing the third season of their concert series “Dedicated play” with guests like Elaine Mitchener, Mariam Rezaei, Hyunhye Seo and Black Top; a 14-date US tour with Phil Minton; and organizing the Dedicated Play festival at KM28 in Berlin and London’s Cafe OTO in collaboration with the band Xiu Xiu.

Nathan Ivanco is a Hamilton based multidisciplinary artist whose work navigates the intersections of sound, memory, and the tactile qualities of analog media. Operating primarily under the moniker Shadow Pattern, Ivanco’s practice is characterized by a commitment to lo-fi aesthetics and a deliberate avoidance of mainstream promotional channels. His releases, often distributed through his own Hamilton Tapes label, are typically available in limited cassette editions, emphasizing a direct, community-oriented approach to art distribution. Through his work, Ivanco invites you into a world where the boundaries between sound and physicality blur, creating a space where the imperfections of analog media become a conduit for emotional and sensory engagement. His work stands as a testament to the power of minimalism and the profound impact of personal, handmade artistry in an increasingly digital world.

Thomas Toews is an electronic musician from Winnipeg, MB. His improvised drone performances are an exploration of feedback and harmony. Using samples to contextualize a sometimes unfamiliar soundscape, Thomas creates a sort of texture music that is both anxious and hopeful.
